The main function of PVC edge banding is to seal the cross section of the board to prevent moisture and other adverse factors from damaging the board, and at the same time prevent the volatilization of formaldehyde inside the board to achieve the decorative effect. Compared with other materials, PVC edge banding has higher hardness and wear resistance, smooth surface, and is easy to clean and maintain. However, its quality stability is poor and it is easy to age and discolor.

In terms of edge banding technology, PVC edge banding can be processed by EVA edge banding, PUR edge banding and laser edge banding. EVA edge banding is cheap but poor in environmental protection, PUR edge banding is more environmentally friendly but more expensive, and laser edge banding is glue-free, environmentally friendly and of stable quality, but the cost is higher.
